While cats do enjoy peace and quiet, they also require plenty of activity and visual stimulation to keep them in tip-top shape. Hefner Road Pet Resort offers:
- An entirely separate wing dedicated to cats, which means no barking or howling to disturb them
- 2-level cat condos with a separate area for litterboxes to keep their space tidy, a clear view of the fish tank, and a TV tuned in to Animal Planet
- Playtime sessions in 1 of our 2 feline playrooms, which contain exercise towers for climbing and windows for looking out into our reception area
- Hill’s® Prescription Diet i/d® food to prevent gastric upset that may occur if your cat is new to boarding
Items You Can Bring from Home
Please note, for health reasons we cannot take any personal bedding or bowls. Our staff will provide your feline friend with everything they need for their stay.
We always provide quality Hill's food for our guests, but we also understand that some may need to stick to their regular diet for health reasons. Provide clear instructions for any medications you bring (and food if necessary) and include your full name on the containers so we can keep your items together.
Cat Boarding Health Policy
Keeping our cat boarding guests safe and healthy is our highest priority. Therefore, it’s important to make sure that your pet has all their vaccinations and is negative for parasites.
- Check that your cat is current with their rabies, FVRCP, and Leukemia vaccines.
- Make sure that they are current on their flea and tick preventative.
- Let us know if you need help giving your cat their flea and tick preventative.
- If we find fleas or ticks on your cat, we can provide them with a dose of preventative.

Times for Drop-Off and Pick-Up
We do our very best to accommodate our clients’ busy schedules. See our drop-off and pick-up times below!
Monday & Friday 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Tuesday – Thursday 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. / 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Due to the rising demand for boarding and daycare, we will be making the following adjustments to our company policies. During times when we have significant increases in reservations, more staff is needed to ensure the well-being of all pets in our care. Late cancellations and no-shows have increased in conjunction with the requests for reservations, which affects our ability to schedule staff appropriately and to allow other clients the opportunity to book with us. Our goal in implementing these policy changes is to ensure a cohesive relationship with clients both new and established, as well as maintain our facility standards. Effective Immediately:
- A valid credit card must be on file for all reservations for new and existing clients.
- New clients will be required to make a non-refundable, one-time deposit equal to one night of the reservation estimate, for their first reservation only. This deposit will be applied to the reservation total at checkout.
- Deposits on reservations cancelled 48 hours prior will be rolled over to the next reservation. Reservations cancelled less than 48 hours prior will have the deposit kept as a cancellation fee.
- All reservations are subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy.
- We are requesting that all pets being picked up from boarding or daycare be picked up by 5:30 PM M-F, 4:30 PM Sat, unless other arrangements have been made with HRPR management. Pets being dropped off for boarding must be dropped off no later than 5 PM M-F, 4:30 PM Sat. This allows time for staff to get the pet settled, taken outside, fed, etc. before we close for the evening.
- Hefner Road has a hard close time of 6 PM M-F and 5 PM on Saturday. This means we are locking the doors and allowing staff to go home at 6 PM. Pets that are not picked up by that time will have an additional boarding day added to their stay or will have an additional late fee added to their daycare charge, which may include a night of boarding.
Effective November 1, 2022:
- Reservations will be subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy. Fees for cancellations 48 hours or less and no-shows will be subject to a fee equal to 1 night of the reservation estimate per pet.

- Holidays (including any abutting weekends) and peak reservation times (including abutting weekends) will require a non-refundable deposit equivalent of 1 night of the scheduled reservation per pet, to be applied to the total cost of the stay at check out. If the holiday or peak time reservation is cancelled before the 48-hour notice window then the deposit will be rolled over to the pet's next boarding reservation. Holiday or peak time reservations cancelled less than 48 hours prior will accrue a fee equal to the cost of 1 night of the scheduled reservation estimate per pet. Cancellations under 24 hours and no-shows will be subject to a fee equal to 2 nights of the reservation estimate per pet.

- Peak reservation times: Fall break (Nov. 18 - Nov. 28), Winter break (Dec. 16 - Jan. 3), Spring break (Mar. 10 - Mar. 20), Summer vacation months (May 19-Aug. 10)
- Hefner Road Pet Resort and Animal Hospital base calculated peak times off of the Putnam City Schools Academic Year Schedule.

- Deposits and fees will be applicable to all reservations and non-negotiable unless a prior arrangement is made and agreed upon by the client and HRPR management.
- Refuted cancellation or no-show fees without notice to management will result in the refusal of all future services.
